The number of signatures required on a petition shall be determined as follows. For all positions where the electorate is less than 30,000 voting members, signatures shall be required from 2% of the eligible voters. 

 

If the voting members are least then 100 in most of the Chpaters, i.e. less than 2 voters to sign the Petition, the nomination shall be filed by one proposer and one seconder as requested in Robert's Rules.

 

IEEE Hong Kong Section Nomination

 

Members are invited to submit nominations for the 2017 Session IEEE HK Section Chief Officers. The Chief Officers to be nominated are the Chair Elected, Secretary and Treasurer and the Section 2016 Chairman-Elected will become the IEEE HK Section Chairman with effect from January 1, 2017.

 

Only Hong Kong IEEE members of grade Graduate Student Member, Member, Senior Member and Fellow are eligible to submit nomination and to be nominated.  Nominations by petition shall use this form, duly signed by  IEEE Hong Kong members of grade Graduate Student Member, Member, Senior Member and Fellow.  You can nominate either all or any of the three Chief Officers, minimum 2% of the eligible voters.

Chapter and Affinity Group Nomination

Under the leadership of the Immediate Past Chair (Dr. Chris Chan) and efforts from our Executive Committee members, the Hong Kong Section has achieved an outstanding performance in both its recruitment and retention goals for the 2015 membership year..
